About the author
Simon Brice
I am a keen amateur photographer from the South East of England. I became hooked on photography, mainly travel photography while living abroad in France, where I spent many weekends traveling around this beautiful country. Photography was not only a means for me to capture memories of my travels. It also enabled me to rediscover my creative side and to think carefully about what to take, how to compose a shot and whether I could photo any famous landmark in a sightly different way.
I started in film with a Canon EOS 300N, then moved to a 300 Digital Rebel (300D) and have lately upgraded to the fantastically versatile Canon 40D. In terms of lenses I use a Sigma 18-55mm ES Macro and a Canon EF 75-300mm zoom with image stabiliser. Both produce very sharp images although the Canon zoom is a little on the slow side.
This blog is dedicated to digital SLR photography enthusiasts and for any beginners who might require a few tips starting out.
